Tout d’abord, le coton d’origine locale est filé en un fil fin, une technique qui se pratique de moins en moins avec l’augmentation des biens produits en masse en Éthiopie. Ensuite chaque fil est coloré avec des éléments naturels (coloration à base de fleurs) avant d’être tissé sur un grand métier à tisser.
Le procédé de fabrication de cet article rend chaque pièce unique. Il peut présenter des différences d’une pièce à l’autre. Ceci fait l’authenticité du modèle.

Fruit bowl – chocolate

The base of this fruit bowl is made of clay with a border of grass sewn.
The bowls are made using pottery traditional techniques. The local clay is prepared by hand before being wrapped in organic bases, then baked in an open oven and finally, the woven grass is sewn by women in the southern region of Lavumisa in Swaziland. Traditional basket weaving skills have been adapted to create this unique fusion of local materials.
This bowl can be placed on a furniture, like decoration.
